Biography:

Steve McConnell is in his 7th year as Head Track and Field Coach at Hanover High. Steve competed as a multi-event track athlete for Dartmouth College and finished tenth in the decathlon at the 2002 Canadian National Championships. Prior to his return to Hanover, Steve lived in France and Virginia.  He spends most of his free time driving his kids around, but manages to squeeze some time in for hockey, travel, and cooking.

Coach McGuire is a former Hartford high school graduate. She was a two time Vermont State Champion in the shot put and discus. Megan went on to compete in the hammer and weight throw at the University of Vermont.  She was a Studio art major with a focus in photography and painting. Megan has been coaching at Hanover high school since 2008. She also is an artist and crafter at Stave puzzles. She has designed several top sellers for Stave. This past winter 2019 Coach McGuire helped coach Hartford high school. Her focus was coaching the weight throw and shot put.  Hartford won its first State Championship for the girls track team. Coach Meg likes distance running and hopes to continue to inspire athletes to reach goal's within reach and beyond.
