Hanover Girls Soccer wins their first state championship since 2015 in a thrilling 1-0 victory over Milford.  After 80 minutes of regulation play and two overtime periods, penalty kicks were needed to decide the eventual winner.  Offensive opportunities were rare in this well matched battle between the five and six seeds.  Both teams had opportunities late in the first half with shots off the crossbar, but neither were able to capitalize.  The teams battled throughout the game with neither team able to break through. 

The 2018 Championship marks Hanover's 9th Girls Soccer State Championship since 1980.  The team finishes the season 15-3-2 and graduates four seniors.
