Down 2-0 at the first intermission, the Marauders (0-1-0) roared back on second-stanza goals from Willie Smith and Jonathan Goff. Smith scored shorthanded on a David Lehmann pass while Hanover was killing off a five-minute major penalty. Goff’s goal came with help from Elias Zinman and Jensen Dodge.
Hanover coach Dick Dodds said much of the home team’s middle-period rally effort came from the line of Kasey Starr, Rowan Wilson and Joseph Goff.
Gabe Loud stopped 14 shots for Hanover, which visits Salem on Friday night.
